In remembrance: Aubin Lovelot

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Mr Aubin Lovelot (56) after a heart attack at his house in Ravensmead on the evening of Wednesday, 1 January 2020.
Mr Lovelot joined UCT on 1 July 2016 as a Campus Protection Services (CPS) officer and at the time of his passing was working as a CPS supervisor. He will be remembered as a very dedicated employee who was a strong leader and had good relationships with all his colleagues.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, 11 January, at the Apostolic Faith Mission Church, Ruyterwacht, behind the Elsies River police station.
The university has reached out to offer support to the Lovelot family. We convey our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this time of bereavement.
