In remembrance: Mzameni Cornelius Nonyosi

18 December 2019 | The UCT Executive

Dear colleagues and students

It is with immense sorrow that we share news of the passing of Mr Mzameni Cornelius Nonyosi (38) on the morning of Monday, 9 December, at his home in Mitchell’s Plain.

At the time of his passing Mr Nonyosi was a Campus Protection Services (CPS) officer, a role he assumed in July 2016.

He will be remembered as a soft-hearted and soft-spoken individual who avoided conflict and always performed his duties to the highest standards.

Mr Nonyosi is survived by his wife, two daughters, sister and mother.

The funeral will take place in the Eastern Cape and further details will be communicated by the CPS department.

The university has reached out to offer support to the Nonyosi family. Our heartfelt condolences go out to them and all who knew Mr Nonyosi.

Sincerely

The UCT Executive
