In remembrance: Sithembele Steve Mtwecu

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Mr Sithembele Steve Mtwecu (58), a hygiene controller at the Graça Machel Hall residence. Mr Mtwecu, who joined the University of Cape Townʼs Student Housing department in 2011, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, 21 August 2019.
Colleagues have described him as a humble, hard-working individual who took great pride in his work. He will be fondly remembered for his friendliness, for making people laugh and for his sharing and caring nature.
Mr Mtwecu is survived by his wife, Patricia Nkasela, and five children.
Details of the memorial and funeral services are yet to be announced and will be communicated once finalised.
We convey our heartfelt condolences to Mr Mtwecu’s family, friends and all who knew him.
