Hot on the heels of its success when it premiered at the Baxter earlier this year, Adam Gwon’s hit musical Ordinary Days returns to the Baxter Flipside – but only until Saturday.

The limited one-week-only season runs until 25 May, with shows nightly at 20:00 and a matinee on the final day at 16:00.

Presented by Square Pegged Productions, it is a funny, fresh and modern story, about two women and two men who navigate their relationships against the backdrop of vibrant New York City. The story will touch the hearts of audiences with its beautiful storytelling and their search for love, success and happiness.

Byron Bure directs the ensemble of four, comprising seasoned musical performers Kirsten Murphy Rossiter (West Side Story, Jersey Boys, Grease) as Claire, Kenneth Meyer (Matilda, Singing in The Rain, Jersey Boys) as Jason, Josie Piers as Debs (We Will Rock You, Hairspray) and Logan Timbre (Matilda, West Side Story, Priscilla Queen Of The Desert) as Warren. The musical is sung acoustically with piano accompaniment by Kevin Kim.

Ordinary Days has been one of my favourite musicals of all time,” said Bure.

“The music and lyrics speak so easily to me. The show takes us on an inspirational feel-good and emotional journey.”

Ticket prices are R120 (today and the matinee) and R150 (tomorrow to Saturday).
