UCT’s Communication and Marketing Department recently compiled a publication comprising the Strategic Planning Framework 2016-2020 and a summarised review of the progress achieved against the previous Strategic Planning Framework 2010-2014.

The booklet is in the process of being distributed to departments and will accompanied by printed material outlining UCT’s mission, the statement of values underpinning the strategic plan, as well as an explanation of the five goals within the plan.

Throughout 2017, faculties and departments engaged with the framework and crafted plans to meet its objectives from within each corner of the university community. The additional material is aimed to facilitate increased awareness of the strategic plan’s goals and contribute to further discussion.

Everyone at the university has been encouraged to display these materials in their department or residence, to help further engagement with the plan by all stakeholders in the university community, as it guides the university’s work for the next three years.

For more information on the strategic planning framework – including videos of the Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellors discussing the plan’s objectives – please visit: Strategic Plan.
