With Mandela Day coming up on 18 July, the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHED) Transformation and Events Committee invites you to collect and donate as many blankets as possible. This year CHED will be partnering with 67Blankets to collect and distribute blankets to those most in need.

In conjunction with the blanket drive, CHED will also be hosting faculty knitting circles where colleagues can spend their 67 minutes knitting for charity. All faculties are challenged to host similar initiatives.

Please drop blankets at the following venues by 17 July:

  • CILT admin, Floor 7, PD Hahn building, Upper Campus
  • CHED reception, Floor 5, Hoerikwaggo Building, Upper Campus
  • Centre for Extra-Mural Studies, Floor 3, Kramer Building, Middle Campus

Blankets can also be brought to the Jameson plaza on 18 July where the blankets will be laid out between 13:00 and 14:07. All are welcome.
