CC175 pioneers honoured at tea

29 November 2004

Vice-chancellor Professor Njabulo Ndebele paid tribute last week to a group of Chancellor's Circle of Pioneers at a tea held at Welgelegen. Ndebele praised the group for demonstrating a collective commitment to UCT and the Chancellor's Challenge 175 (CC175) campaign through both their words and deeds. "It is important that we take some time off from our busy schedules to express our thanks and pay tribute to those who have taken up the challenge. Thank you for your generous support." Pictured with Ndebele (right) is library assistant Emanuel Sithole, who has become part of a new generation of UCT pioneers by donating to the CC175.
