Talk on Iraq and Africa

Professor Ramesh Thakur, Vice-Chancellor of the United Nations University in Tokyo, will present a lecture at UCT titled The Responsibility to Protect: Intervention and Sovereignty in Iraq and Africa. The date is August 14 from 13h00 - 14h00 at the Graduate School in Humanities (GSH). The lecture will be preceded by a finger lunch, sponsored by the Canadian High Commission in South Africa, in the GSH atrium at 12h30. The event has been organised by the political studies department, the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes, and the Western Cape branch of the South African Institute of International Affairs
