ǂXuu Katrina Esau received an honorary doctorate during the second graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Humanities on Wednesday, 29 March 2023.
The University of Cape Town honoured ǂXuu Katrina Esau for her contribution towards language studies and her mission to preserve the endangered culture of the San people as well as the Nǀuu language. This award highlights the importance of the linguistic diversity of the country, continent, and the globe.
