At the ripe old age of 89, former University of Cape Town (UCT) Vice-Chancellor Dr Stuart Saunders breathed his last breath on 12 February 2021, following a short illness. Described by many as a great leader who charted UCT through difficult seasons, he was also a family man who loved his family dearly.
