Levy Sekgapane, a student in the University of Cape Town Opera School, has won the 24th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition held in Amsterdam this month. He is the second UCT student to win the prestigious international contest.

Hout Bay murder victim not a UCT student
In a news article published today, Independent Newspapers and Cape Times incorrectly identify Mr Nchikala Ngoy, the Congolese man who was knifed to death in Hout Bay on 8 July 2015, as a student at the University of Cape Town. Mr Ngoy is not a registered student at UCT.
