In remembrance: Harrison Rossiter

It is with heartfelt sadness that we inform you of the passing of our student Harrison Rossiter (21), who was studying towards a Business Science degree in the Faculty of Commerce. Rossiter passed away in his sleep on Thursday, 13 January 2026 at home in Cape Town.
Rossiter enrolled for a Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSc) degree at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2023. His family said he moved to attend university in Cape Town since he loved the city dearly.
He will be remembered for his smile, zest for life and his ability to make anyone and everyone around him laugh and feel at ease.
Rossiter is survived by his parents Michael and Clara Rossiter; and his sister and fellow UCT alumna, Michela.
The university has offered its support to the Rossiter family and sends condolences to all who knew and loved him.
