Senate resolution on Middle East conflict

Dear colleagues and students

The University of Cape Town (UCT) Senate, at a plenary meeting held on Friday, 17 November 2023, and having debated the matter of the crisis in the Middle East, took the following resolution:

“The UCT Senate calls for an immediate ceasefire and passage of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and the release of hostages and unlawfully held prisoners.”
