In remembrance: Dr Abdulraouf Mohamed Kdaish

26 January 2021

Dear colleagues and students

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing our colleague, Dr Abdulraouf Mohamed Kdaish, on 18 January 2021 due to COVID-19 complications.

Dr Kdaish joined UCT in 2014 and worked as a registrar in the Division of General Surgery.

He has been described by his colleagues as a hardworking person who performed his job with diligence against the odds. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle colleague who remained good-natured through many long nights on call.

He leaves behind his wife Khadija Tareki, and four children.

The university has reached out to offer support to the Kdaish family. During this time of bereavement, our sincere condolences go out to the family and all who knew and loved him.

Sincerely

The UCT Executive
