Daya Reddy holds the DST/NRF South African Research Chairs Initiative (SARChI) Chair in Computational Mechanics at the University of Cape Town. He is currently president of the International Science Council, whose members include academies and science councils from 140 countries, and more than 40 international scientific unions in the natural and social sciences.
