Two beautiful and original South African productions for children aged two to nine, which promise to delight the youngsters and their parents alike, will be on at the Baxter Theatre Centre for one week only from tomorrow until 30 March, at 12:00 and 14:00 daily.

A formidable team of multi-award-winning local artists is behind the success of Titum-Titum (at 12:00) and Lumka (at 14:00), using storytelling, puppetry and live music to bring to life the charming characters and present a memorable theatre experience.

Puppetry production Lumka is directed by Janni Younge and stars Roshina Ratnam, Asanda Rilityana and Pedro Espi-Sanchis, of Pedro, The Music Man fame. The story is of a little girl who learns to conquer her fears to rescue her oldest toy and best friend Kiki.

Titum-Titum is directed by Joanna Evans and features the same cast in a humorous and honest reflection on preparing for new life and creating family in unexpected places.

“This is perfect holiday fun for young children, parents and grandparents to enjoy together,” said Younge.
