SRC to host symposium and other updates

The campus announcement aims to inform members of the University of Cape Town community about:
1. SRC symposium
The UCT Students’ Representative Council (SRC) will host a two-day symposium on Friday, 13 October, and Saturday, 14 October, on black radical feminism, gender politics and gender-based violence. The event aims to promote critical engagement between the SRC and students and create space for interaction outside the classroom.
2. Extension in nomination deadline for the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor of UCT
The date for nominations for the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Town has been extended to 20 October 2017, as a result of feedback. The closing date for applications remains 30 October 2017.
