The recent RMF violence and vandalism on campus, which saw paintings and vehicles burnt and the Vice-Chancellor's office petrol bombed, feeds a “grim South African tradition of violence” and reflects a worrying myopia, writes UCT's Dr Robert Morrell in the Daily Maverick.
