DAD staff big walkDevelopment and Alumni Department (DAD) staffers Jasmine Erasmus, Rochelle Muir, Ondria Curtin, Anita Wildeman, Candice Egan, and Amanda Williams and their partners braved the cold and rainy weather on Sunday 8 November to participate in the Discovery-Cape Times Big Walk.

The team joined thousands of walkers who took to the Mother City's streets on a route that included a turn through Gugulethu.

Sporting their UCT AIR T-shirts, the team walked a 5km stretch between Newlands and Mowbray. They've set their sights on 10km next year.

"The atmosphere was great and I felt it was well organised," said Muir. "It was motivation enough for me to know that at the end of the walk we would each receive a medal."
