Judge, former minister among new honorary law professors

Supreme Court of Appeals (SCA) Judge Ian Farlam (left) and former education minister Kadar Asmal are among four new honorary professors in the Faculty of Law. Farlam, a UCT alumnus, is among South Africa's most experienced judges. He started practising as an advocate in 1968 and was permanently appointed to the SCA in 2000. Asmal spent over 25 years as an academic at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, first as a law lecturer, later as dean of the arts faculty. They join Professor Muna Ndulo of Cornell University, New York, and Dr Manfred Weiss of Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany.
