Plaudits for PhD poster

19 May 2009

Mmoto Masubelele, a PhD student in the Department of Botany, has won the best poster presentation award at the seventh annual Savanna Science Network Meeting, held at the Kruger National Park in April. This is arguably the top savanna ecology meeting in Africa, with all the participants doing research in the Kruger and other South African national parks. There were delegates from Europe and America too. Masubelele's poster was titled Vegetation Changes (1961-2009) Along an Aridity Gradient in the Eastern Karoo and Southern Free State Grasslands.
