UCT's Graduate School of Business has teamed up with Johnson & Johnson to launch an international leadership development programme for women

Johnson & Johnson has teamed up with UCT's Graduate School of Business (GSB) to create an innovative international leadership development programme specially geared to advancing women in the company.

The GSB was chosen above several other leading international business schools, such as London Business School, Bocconi, Insead and IESE, to develop and host the programme for Johnson & Johnson in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The programme was launched in October 2007 and has had resounding success within the organisation.

Rosemary Grant, head of Business Services in the UK, and chairperson for the Women's Leadership Initiative for Johnson & Johnson in EMEA and sponsor for the programme, said the initiative is another important step in the company's focus on diversity and leadership.

"Diversity drives results. Business success and leadership requires that all perspectives and backgrounds exist throughout all parts of today's organisations."
