UCT's Graduate School of Business (GSB) has received full accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD.

The GSB now has a five-year European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation. EQUIS is the EFMD's accreditation body, and since 2001 the GSB has held two successive three-year accreditations.

"The five-year term is the longest period of EQUIS accreditation offered by EFMD and demonstrates that the body has confidence in the school," GSB academic director Professor Colin Firer said.

In addition, the GSB has been ranked 96th in the Beyond Grey Pinstripes (BGP) Global Top 100 ranking. BGP is conducted by the Aspen Institute based in the US and is recognised as the leading international survey that goes beyond the traditional business school rankings by benchmarking the integration of sustainability into MBA programmes.
