Selection of a new vice-chancellor

The search has begun for a new vice-chancellor to succeed Professor Njabulo S Ndebele, who completes his second term of office in mid-2008.

The selection committee, which consists of elected members from various constituencies, has met to agree on the search methods and time frame for the recruitment and selection process. The advertisement has appeared in a number of local and overseas publications, as well as on UCT's and other websites, and search letters are being sent to various organisations and institutions.
