Zoo: Zuma Biscuits, painted wood by Stuart Bird, is one of the pieces on display at Michaelis this week.

For the next couple of weeks, the Michaelis gallery is canvas to a contemporary collage of artworks by the school's master's students.

Come is an exhibition of art by students studying toward their Master's of Fine Arts degree at the Michaelis School of Fine Art.

"It's all a work in progress '“ part of their thesis research," says Professor Pippa Skotnes, director of the school. "This exhibition is representative of the practical component of their research projects."

In the interest of showcasing the work of postgraduate students, both in Cape Town and Durban, the exhibition moves to the KZNSA Gallery from 27 March to 15 April, said Skotnes.

With themes ranging from the nostalgic to political, there are no holds barred in their creative freedom.
