Honing new managers

07 November 2005

On a roll: PA to the deputy speaker of Parliament, Zingi Gcwabe.

Zingi Gcwabe, personal assistant to the deputy speaker of Parliament, received a full bursary to complete the New Managers Programme (NMP) at the Graduate School of Business.

The bursary was offered by the executive education unit at the first national business school exhibition, organised by the Association of Graduate Schools of Business and Management in Johannesburg and Cape Town earlier this year.

The NMP prepares high-profile or newly promoted people for careers in management. Cape Town-born Gcwabe was full of praise for the course.

"The programme proved very rich - it has undoubtedly broadened my mind and perspective regarding work and general life skills. The class was a mix of different cultures and people from different walks of life - a very dynamic mix."

She plans to enrol for the GSB's Associate in Management programme next year.
