THE Mail & Guardian and the Foundation for Education, Science and Technology (FEST) have joined forces to present South Africa's first photo competition aimed at illustrating and communicating the excitement and impact of science to a broad audience.
The competition is open to all professional and amateur photographers who are enthusiastic about science, technology and medicine. The organisers say they are looking for stunning, original images from all aspects of science. Selected entries and winning photos will be published in the Mail & Guardian and will also be exhibited at an international conference dedicated to the public communication of science in December 2002.
