Sex and the coloniser: (left to right) Clyde Berning, Mbulelo Grootboom and Daniel Judes star in the romping Colon(y) Dis Covered

THE Arena Theatre will run Colon(y) Dis Covered, a biting satire of sexual politics, from April 6 to 13 at the Hiddingh Campus.

Colon(y) Dis Covered usually makes up Act 1 of Cloud Nine, a play by English playwright Caryl Churchill. Described as a provocative and amusing study of colonialism and sexual politics, Cloud Nine is set in Victorian Africa and contemporary England and "mocks colonial and sexual repressions in a farce that employs racial and gender cross-casting to make its points".

Colon(y) Dis Covered will be performed by senior students of the UCT Drama Department under the direction of Liz Mills.
