Close to R7m raised through UCT COVID-19 emergency fund
Approximately R6.8 million has been raised so far through the University of Cape Town COVID-19 emergency fund, with some of the crucial needs covered including a R16.4 million laptops purchase.

Project launched to combat spread of COVID-19 fake news
The Centre for Analytics and Behavioural Change, incubated by the Allan Gray Centre for Values-Based Leadership at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business, has launched a six-month project that will use social media analytics and advocacy to combat the spread of misinformation about the coronavirus (COVID-19) in South Africa and beyond.

UCT confirms sixth case of COVID-19
The University of Cape Town has been advised that a third student tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, 29 March 2020. The student is receiving medical support and identified contacts were traced and advised to go into quarantine.
