Join The Everyday Designer programme

University of Cape Town (UCT) students are encouraged to participate in The Everyday Designer programme on 21 May.

The Everyday Designer: Making Ideas Tangible Through Action & Experimentation is a one-day, hands-on programme for students and young professionals aged 18 to 35. It will take place at the Hasso Plattner School of Design Thinking Afrika (d-school Afrika), at no cost.

The programme equips participants with structured tools and techniques to turn early ideas into simple, testable prototypes – using accessible materials and low-cost methods. Rather than waiting for the perfect idea, participants will learn to move forward through action, experimentation and reflection.

Spaces are limited and the application deadline is 18 May 2026.
