In remembrance: Mamorena Mphuthi

Dear colleagues and students

It is with great sadness that the University of Cape Town confirms the death of Ms Mamorena Mphuthi, a final year Bachelor of Science student majoring in Genetics and Biochemistry, on Sunday, 18 December 2016, at Groote Schuur Hospital. Ms Mphuthi died from complications after almost drowning off Camps Bay beach.

The funeral will be held on 31 December at the Community Hall in Mamafubedu, Petrus Steyn in the Free State.
