Road closures and parking on Sunday 15 March

The Absa Cape Epic Prologue takes place at UCT on Sun 15 March. If you plan to visit Upper Campus on the weekend of the 14-15 March, there are the traffic and parking arrangements you should be aware of:

Madiba Circle East (Formerly Rugby Road)

This part of Madiba Circle will be closed for traffic from Saturday, 14 March 2015, at 18h00 until Sunday, 15 March at 15h00. Big trucks for the ABSA Cape Epic will be parked here for those two days.

The rest of Madiba Circle

The parts of this road that are not next to the rugby fields will be open for traffic, regulated by UCT traffic officers and marshals to increase safety and keep traffic flowing smoothly.

University Avenue South

Closed for traffic from Saturday, 14 March at 18h00 until Sunday, 15 March at 15h00. No parking will be allowed.

Residents Road

Open from the north side only on Sunday, 15 March from 06h00 until 15h00, after which there will be normal access.

Parking in P1 (Middle Campus) and P6 (Upper Campus North)

Access from Woolsack Drive will be available on both days at both parking areas.

The south entrance to Upper Campus (accessed via the M3)

Closed on Sunday, 15 March from 06h00 until 15h00.

Jammie Shuttle

The Jammie shuttle services will operate as per normal and will not be affected in any way.
