The Honourable Joe Clark, former Prime Minister of Canada, will present a seminar titled Canada as a Middle Power: What lessons for South Africa? at 17h30 on 6 October at the Centre for the Book.

The seminar is being hosted by the Centre for Conflict Resolution, UCT and the South African Association of Canadian Studies.

In international relations middle power is a term used to describe nations that are not regarded as superpowers but still have large or moderate influence and international recognition.

Archbishop Njongonkulu Ndungane, president and founder of African Monitor, Cape Town, will chair the seminar.
