For good cause: The UCT Student Christian Fellowship hosted a festival to raise funds for the SOS Orphanage Home.

The UCT Student Christian Fellowship, a 450-strong member society, hosted its annual choir festival recently to raise funds.

But instead of collecting the amount for the fellowship, as it has done in the past, the society donated all the proceeds of R3 000 to the SOS Orphanage Home. "The executive committee saw it right to donate all the proceeds to SOS Orphanage Home," explained Jabu Mphambo, chairperson of the society.

Mphambo said the choir festival is a programme of gospel music and every year they invite a different guest in the form of groups coming to perform or minister. This year William Sejake of the popular Joyous Celebration, was the main guest artist, and together with a local group, HIS, entertained the crowd.
