Showcase of master's work

19 February 2007

In response to an invitation by the KwaZulu-Natal Society of Arts (KZNSA) Gallery in Durban, UCT master's of fine arts students will host exhibitions in Cape Town and Durban over March and April.

The first of the exhibitions will be from 5 to16 March at the Michaelis Gallery at the Hiddingh campus, opening at 18h00 on 5 March. The Durban exhibition will take place at the KZNSA Gallery from 27 March to 15 April, opening at 18h00 on 27 March.

"The exhibition will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase the work of the students and the MFA [Master's of Fine Arts] programme, both in Cape Town and Durban," says UCT's Associate Professor Stephen Inggs. The students also plan to publish an accompanying catalogue that will include supporting text and images.
