Students are good eggs

The time of Easter is a time we enjoy chocolate eggs.

This year, though, at residence Groote Schuur Complex, the students thought of those who are less fortunate than themselves. More specifically, they thought of the children from St George's Orphanage in Wynberg.

To make Easter more memorable for the orphans this year, the residents donated money for Easter eggs. And on Sunday, March 27, three students - Mmatsheko Masotla, Tipei Chiseya and sub-warden Mduduzi Mbonambi - went to the orphanage with warden Glenn von Zeil.

The team spent about an hour of the afternoon with them. The students who went along were a representative sample of the residence. They intend going back shortly with a larger group. The residence's house committee gave its blessing to the project and is keen to do more charity-based projects in the future.
