2003 is fast hauling us in. With graduation beginning next Monday and the ink drying on hundreds of leave forms, many of UCT's community prepare to take a well-earned breather. It has been a particularly busy year on all fronts. We have summarised some of the highlights, as captured in words and pictures in Monday Paper.

In the wilderness: Desperately needing match time, Bobby Skinstad debuted for the UCT First XV in August but broke an arm, putting paid to his Rugby World Cup dreams. This evocative photograph of an isolated and crocked Skinstad, taken moments later by Monday Paper's Megan Morris, was bought by and later appeared in the Cape Argus.
