Monday Paper on the air

14 October 2002
MONDAY Paper's Thando Pato (left) recently featured on a panel of four women who discussed "How to be happy with the age that you are" on Nancy Richards' daily radio magazine programme, Woman Today.

Pato, who is but the latest in a long line of UCT faculty, students and staff to appear on the SAfm show, represented the 20-something age group.

Fellow panel members Suzy Brokensha (30-something journalist), Tracy Klass (40-or-so stand-up comic) and Pat Fahrenfort (happy-to-be-in-her-fifties activist) shared their thoughts on being just the age that they wanted to be.

During the hour-long broadcast, the four women enthusiastically round-tabled fashion, responsibilities, exercise – “Who has the time, dearie?” – and erotic poetry readings.
