CHE update on COVID-19 concession for distance mode
The Council on Higher Education (CHE) has issued a new communique (April 2026) confirming the implementation of the themed review on modes of learning and teaching provision, and the conclusion of the COVID-19 era concession on delivery modes.

It fills me with immense pride and great excitement as I write to extend my warmest congratulations to the University of Cape Town (UCT) Ikeys Young Guns for their outstanding 42–29 victory over the University of Free State Young Guns in the FNB Varsity Cup Young Guns final.
