Keeping UCT students safe off-campus

As part of a pilot project that tests the efficacy of safety technology among a student population, SEON has graciously donated panic buttons to the University of Cape Town (UCT).

The donation will be used as part of the pilot research programme which assesses the use, efficacy, response time and durability of the safety technology over a one-year period. Based on these results, UCT will utilise the research findings to determine what some effective safety interventions are that can be used and/or offered to staff and students at the university. Je’nine May was there to capture it all on camera.
