It’s Rainbow Week at the University of Cape Town (UCT), with the Rainbow UCT committee urging the entire campus community to come together to celebrate diversity under the banner of inclusivity for all.
This week’s events, organised in conjunction with the Office for inclusivity and Change (OIC), include panel discussions, art and film, a Pride march and a party. They are designed to bring depth, insight, colour and fun to the campus, while focusing on the far more serious issue of inclusivity and queerness.
The students sharing their views here are, in order of appearance, Erin Hines, Lauren Beghin, Thami Mhlotshwa, Murray Hines, Robyn-Lee Tobias and Rainbow UCT committee chair Viwe Tafeni.
