24 October 2015 | Story by Newsroom

The University of Cape Town's Post-Doctoral Association stands in solidarity with the students who have been protesting across South Africa over the past week.

We wish to support the demands that have been put forward by these students as well as those of UCT's academics and hope to see a transformation in the higher education system and especially the way in which it is funded. Along with them, we oppose outsourcing on campus and advocate for its swift termination.

We further wholeheartedly condemn the use of police force against students and staff, not only on campus, but also in their peaceful demonstrations off-campus and wish to show our support for those who have firmly stood their ground in the face of this brutality.

We recognise the importance of ensuring access to education and offer our full support and help in this struggle.

A luta continua, #FeesMustFall
