The thin green line

On the frontline of the Green Campus Initiative (GCI) during UCT's Green Week are the Green Police, out to enforce environmental awareness on campus. Donning friendly green overalls, these officers of natural law have a mission to disseminate information, carry out awareness-raising campaigns, such as leopard-crawling through the food court to attract attention to the week's events, and to act as the public face of the GCI. One of their primary tasks is to seize control of the colour-coded recycling bins on campus, informing students how it works, and ensuring that it's used correctly - by any friendly and natural means necessary.
