UCT joins forces with Newcastle University

16 September 2009

UCT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Newcastle, Australia, to allow for research and teaching collaborations between the two institutions. The agreement was signed by (in picture) Professor Nicholas Saunders, vice-chancellor and president of the University of Newcastle and UCT vice-chancellor Dr Max Price. Lara Hoffenberg, manager of mobility and links at UCT's International Academic Programmes Office, said the deal may, in the future, allow for student and researcher exchange between the two universities. Members of UCT's Faculty of Humanities would visit Australia soon to discuss collaborative possibilities with their counterparts.
