All welcome at law

Justice Dikgang Moseneke (above), a judge of the Constitutional Court, was the guest speaker at the recent opening of the law faculty's academic year. This year the faculty celebrates its 145th anniversary. The gathering on February 23 sported an august roll call of judges and legal practitioners, including the Cape deputy judge president, Justice Jeanette Traverso, and members of the Bench and Bar. The event allowed the dean, Professor Hugh Corder, to run through some of the faculty's highlights for 2003, a year that witnessed the graduation of two magna cum laudes, as well as a high percentage of cum laudes.
