A passion for song and dance

The University of Cape Town’s (UCT) South African College of Music student, Thabisa Dinga, uses her passion for music and dance to develop skills for KwaLanga township’s young community members. Through her Jika Madinga dance school located inside the Guga S’thebe Arts and Culture Centre in KwaLanga, she teaches contemporary dance to the youth. Dinga is involved in many community programmes which include a UCT outreach programme where she teaches young learners about indigenous African instruments and how to play them.

Dinga, who hails from KwaLanga, is currently completing a Master of Music.
