Wellness Fair at UCT

UCT staff are invited to the Human Resources Department’s Annual Wellness Fair in Jameson Hall from 27 to 28 September. This will provide a broad range of health screenings and wellness offerings.

Exhibitors include Virgin Active, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Sh’zen, the Western Province Blood Transfusion Service, the South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, massage therapists (neck, head and shoulder), health screening (blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, HIV and psychological distress) as well as an optometrist, a nutritionist and a dentist. The Safety and Violence Initiative will be exhibiting the Safe-Up UCT mobile app.

The fair will be open from 10:00 to 14:00 each day. Health screening and massage times will be from 09:00 to 15:00. Bookings for health screening and the massage therapists can be made by emailing Gaynor.may@uct.ac.za or calling her on extension 3519 before 27 September.
