Students leave UCT's sports centre after writing their PGDA exam.

Medical students and those writing the exams towards a postgraduate diploma (PGDA) in accounting finished their papers without interruption on Monday, 9 November.

Unfortunately, the day started with barricades at some access routes to campus. These were removed as the morning proceeded. The tyres of three Jammie buses were slashed, but this did not disrupt the service. Protesters occupying Bremner overnight also left the building in the morning.

The students writing their exams were not affected by any of these developments and relatively few students were seen on upper campus.

All students have the option to write their exams now or to defer and write in January 2016. The option to choose remains open to 27 November 2015.
