GSB's MBA leapfrogs up ratings

05 February 2007 | Story by Daniella Pollock

The UCT Graduate School of Business (GSB) full-time MBA programme has, for the second year in succession, made a double digit leap up the Financial Times Global Top 100 MBA Rankings, released on 29 January.

It is also ranked as the fifth best value-for-money MBA in the world.

The School has been pegged at 52 in the 2007 survey, up 14 places from its 66th slot in 2006. It remains the only African MBA to be ranked in the prestigious top 100. This is a far cry from their first ranking of 82 in 2005.

In December, the GSB was also rated among the top four providers globally, and given an Award for Excellence by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) for its executive programmes, customised for organisations. Its open executive programmes were in the top 10, with a rating of four out of five.
