Care for kids

The proposed UCT children's holiday-care pilot programme has been approved by the university, and will start in December 2006/ January 2007. This programme will be for children of school-going age. Initially, it will be run during the summer school holidays, but its sustainability and future operations will depend to a large extent on the support of UCT staff and students. The logistical arrangements, including the programme and staffing, are in the process of being finalised. An open meeting will be held in early November 2006, when parents and guardians can receive more information about the programme, and register their children. More details will be released.
